Scientific Coaching isn’t just for the elite athlete – we have had a very high percentage success rate in the last few Etape de Tour’s and an ever growing number of club-records, personal best’s and first time achievers. A One - 2 - One cycle coaching session could be just what you need to make that next step forward in ensuring your effort counts !!

We also offer 1-2-1 cycle coaching on the SRM and Cycling Peaks software to ensure you get the best out of your power measuring devices. This service is available to all athletes regardless of where they purchased their powermeter or who their cycle coach is (or isn't) : scientific coaching athletes though will qualify for the discounted prices !! For SRM software tuition and data appreciation we recommend the Standard or Plus session.

Improvement in cycling and triathlon isn't just about physical fitness. Having a bike properly set up and one that fits you is critical; and there is the skill of cycling itself; gear selection, climbing, descending, adopting the right pedalling action and frequency; not to mention keeping your machine in optimum mechanical condition. Scientific Coaching offers 1-2-1 training and days which cover all of this and more. In conjunction with myself we will set a personalised agenda to suit you own needs and ambitions and also to fit in with the time of year. Days can be organised on a 1-2-1 basis or for groups, team and clubs. Weekend and weekday sessions are available and residential courses can be arranged to suit. One-2-one training courses …?
.... You choose an agenda to suit your needs. Typical examples are included below - include fitness assessment, body composition analysis, discussion of current training, develop a structured personal training programme based on personal goals and training availability, or simply the opportunity to discuss training, nutrition, weight management, cycling position etc.

1-2-1 STANDARD - fitness assessment, bike fit and analysis of current training
(time allowance 2 ½ / 3hrs plus report)

1-2-1 PLUS - allows additional time allowance for greater discussion and a more comprehensive report and training evaluation. Typically might be as 1-2-1 standard plus gear selection analysis of diet and training, planning out your season and training tips (4-5hrs)

1-2-1 EXTRA - a full days 1-2-1 personal training, coaching and assessment including the opportunity for a 2 hour bike riding session to assess riding style, climbing technique, training exercises etc. Ideal for clients travelling a distance and wishing to maximise the opportunity (7-8 hrs including light refreshments)
