How easy is it to fit an SRM Powermeter ?

Its as easy as fitting a standard chainset. You do however need to make sure the magnet (which provide cadence and switches the powermeter on) is in the correct place. With so many different frame and bottom bracket dimensions this can be critical. We do however supply each powermeter with two magnets and a self adhesive pad for frames with internal cabling.

What do all the top professional cycling teams including Team GB have in common ??

They use the Schoberer Rad Messtechnik (SRM) power training system (or Powercranks) for training and racing. SRM have long been accepted as essential training equipment for most professional cyclists and are regarded as the gold standard for direct power measurement as produced by the rider.

SRM powercranks utilise a specially engineered chainset with integral strain gauges. These transpose the torque from each pedal stroke into watts whilst simultaneously recording cadence, heart rate and speed. The SRM specific Powercontrol head unit both displays and records at intervals down to fractions of a second. This allows the SRM to accurately measure and monitor every pedal stroke, watt, heart beat and mile to ensure absolute training and racing specificity.
